POTATO (digital font, 2001)

This "Potato" began life as a ten pound bag of Québec #1 potatoes, based on type designer Paul Renner's classic modern font, Futura, retooled through the process of potato printing (each letter carved out of a potato, printed, then re-digitized). First used for the exhibition "Take Off" at Shores Space, Amsterdam: April, 2001.
